Rudolph Ferguson was born and raised in the rural community of Cairn Curran, Westmoreland in Jamaica. From a very early age Rudolph developed a deep love for art and could always be found drawing images.Even in church, Rudolph could be found sketching pictures of the pastor while he was preaching, which did not make his mother too happy. In 1988 Rudolph was successful in his external examinations and was selected to attend the prestigious Mannings School where he majored in Visual Arts even placing multiple times in a national art competition for high school students. Rudolph could always be found in the art room working on projects. After successfully completing high school Rudolph attended The Mico Teachers College in Kingston where he received a Diploma in Teacher Education specializing in Visual Arts. After graduating Rudolph returned to his hometown in Westmoreland where he taught high school art from grades seven through to eleven for about five years before he migrated to the United States of America.

After witnessing the school system in America, Rudolph did not want to teach anymore as he would would have to go back to school for a few more years to earn a masters, but he still wanted to pursue his passion for art and so he enrolled in the Nassau Community College Graphic Design Program. He completed three semesters before he was discouraged by peers who told him that he would never be hired as a Graphic Designer because of the color of his skin. Disappointed by this, Rudolph switched majors and enrolled in the Surgical Technologist program.Rudolph graduated with an associates degree in Surgical technology and entered the workforce as a Certified Surgical Technologist. While working,Rudolph would sketch pictures of the surgeons he was working with in the middle of surgery. Seeing the quality of his sketches,he was encouraged to pursue his dream and not sit on his talent. In the Fall of 2019, he enrolled in the Farmingdale State College Visual Communications program, specializing in Graphic Design. Over the course of his study, Rudolph earned two Deans List recognition and four Presidents Lists awards.
